MED-RX® securement device is a sterile device for percutaneous catheters and tubes, consisting of hydrocolloid adhesive with an outer adhesive cover. Hydrocolloid can absorb superfluous exudates and reduce removal trauma. It is conformable and can be easily moulded into place to enhance patient comfort and minimize leakage.

WARNINGS

  1. This device must pay attention to matching medical device size.
  2. Prepare the skin in accordance with the standard hospital protocol for dressing application.
  3. Skin prep or hair removal may be required on some patients for better adhesion.
  4. After seven (7) days (sooner if the fixation device becomes loose for any reason) remove the old Catheter Securement device and replace with a new Catheter securement device.

 

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:

  • This device is sterile and is intended for single use only. Do not re-sterilize and/or reuse this device.
  • Do not use if unit packaging or the product has been damaged or soiled.
  • Dispose of as per hospital protocol.
  • This device is not manufactured with natural rubber latex.
