Description

Mextra® Superabsorbent wound dressing delivers high fluid absorption and retention 1 2. You can rely on it to help treat highly exuding wounds such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and some pressure ulcers.

The high fluid handling capacity avoids leakage and reduces the risk of maceration 1. And it can lower dressing change frequency, to help you reduce treatment costs 1.

The soft border seal makes it easily conformable 3 “ you'll find it easy to work with. Plus it's comfortable for your patients. It maintains its structure and integrity without becoming bulky once exudate is absorbed 1.

  • High fluid handling capacity 1  2
  • The dressing is soft and conformable 2
  • Protects the periwound area 1
  • Has protease modulating properties 1  3

When to use Mextra Superabsorbent

Mextra Superabsorbent design is suitable for managing highly exuding wounds, such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and in some cases pressure ulcers. The polyacrylate superabsorbent particles have a protease modulating activity  1  4  5  and provide an environment that's conducive to healing. The fluid-repellent backing material protects against fluid strike-through 1
